These Walls Are My Reservation
At the upcoming Middleton, CT Common Ground Film Festival four short films will be previewed centered around American Indian themes
The first is "These Walls Are My Reservation" by Pittsfield, MA based director Troy Phillips, Nipmuc, the films tells the story of a young man growing up in an urban environment and is "strugglign to understand what it means to be an American Indian"
The other films are Rebecca Perry-Levy, Pequot, "Casino Indian" about how the opening of Foxwoods Casion affected her life and the other is Bruce Curliss', Nipmuc, film "Survivor" a contemplation of how far American Indian culture has come and Keely Curliss', Nipmuc, film "Hope for Bigger Than 16 Seconds" is about a recclamation of a sacred mountain.
You might now Troy Phillips and Rebecca Perry-Levy from the PBS series "We Shall Remain" where Phillips portrayed Tisquantum and Perry-Levy portrayed Wootoneakanuske
